First,

Thank you SO much for making this program!  Grin

Now, its' a matter of learning to operate it! lol

I see how to set a System Quick Key, but apparently, you only get 9 of those. I want to set the group quick keys, which apparently there's supposed to be 99 of those. Where can I do this in the software?

Thanks!

Glad to hear that you like it. You should get 100 system quick keys, you might have to scroll down the list to see the rest of them. For group QKs, you get 10 of those. You can assign them under the Group setup screen.

Uhoh........

Apparently I got it backwards.

There's no way to dynamically allocate the number of systems / groups, is there?

See, for instance, it's cleaner to me this way

Trunk
Trunk
Federal Conventional
      FBI
      DEA
      USSS
      USMS
Local Press
      News1

       News2

it sounds like I'll have to load them as

Trun k
Trunk
Trunk
FBI
DEA
USSS
USMS

is that more accurate?

Thanks,

You can do it the first way if you want. Just create separate groups.

Exactly. This is just one possibility but it does make it more clear.

Trunk (Site Quick Key)
Trunk (Site Quick Key)
Federal Conventional (System Quick Key)
  FBI (Group Quick Key)
  DEA (Group Quick Key)
  USSS (Group Quick Key)
  USMS (Group Quick Key)
Local News (System Quick Key - assuming conventional here)
  News1 (Group Quick Key)
  News2 (Group Quick Key)

best regards..Mike

Scanner is a bcd996t.

Using Freescan.

I want to set it up so I can press 0, and one bank comes on, etc.  Right now these are the systems I have programed and types.

Bank 1:
NH Fire EMS (Conv)
Nashua NH Fire / EMS (Trunk)
Manchester NH Fire / EMS (Trunk)

Bank 2:
MA Fire and EMS (Conv)
Cambridge Fire (Trunk)

Bank 3:
NH poh-leece (Conv/P25)
Manchester poh-leece (Trunk)
Nashua poh-leece (Trunk)

Bank 4:
Boston Fire
Boston EMS

Bank 5:
MA State PD

Bank 6:
Airplanes

Bank 7-9 are nothing at this time

Bank 0:
Other (Conv)

In order to make the scanner display the above, what shoudl the quick key's be and group keys be.  All and any help appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff

This scanner doesn't have banks, so you can't assign a quick key to them. But you can can assign one to a system to it will come on. If you dont assign a GQK all the groups become active.

Ok, so if I want to press the #1 on the scanner and want to listen to all of what I said was in (Bank 1) do I set that as a site key, and then all the system's I want to listen as a quick key?

Yes, on trunked systems you set it by site, and on conventional you set it by system.
