Power Patrol and Favorites

I'm having a continuing problem with PowerPatrol and my HP Favorites.
When I use Sentinel to update the HomePatrol database and then upload the new database back to the HP-1, all is well. However, if I subsequently download the new database from the HP-1 to PowerPatrol, I get error messages relating to the Favorite files and all of the Favorite channels are lost. (The titles of the Favorites are still shown in PowerPatrol but the channel information no longer displays (actually, sometimes all of the files are lost, sometimes only one of the files is lost, and sometimes only the trunked systems within one of the files are lost).
It seems as long as I am uploading/downloading files only between the HP-1 and PowerPatrol, I have no problems. But when I try to load the Sentinel-formatted database from the HP-1 to PowerPatrol, the primary database appears to transfer OK but the Favorites files are aborted to some degree. The error message states "unknown format or corrupt file... cannot load state".
Since I'm using PP to manipulate my Favorites, this is a big problem. Any thoughts??

Are you using any other program to modify the db? Some will corrupt your scanner.

The Favorite files in question were created in PowerPatrol.
Also, I have more info. The last time I tried to download my Favorite files into PP, I got three separate error screens. I later realized that there were only supposed to be two Favorite files in the HP-1 so I did a little more digging.
The three files that were reported to be corrupt were "favorites_000001.hpd", "buncombe.hpd", and "N_common.hpd" - but the latter two were not even contained in the HP-1! I double-checked the HP-1 drive and it contained only two .hpd files: fav_000001 and fav_000002.
I checked the PP favorites_config file and it has only the two correct entries. Do you have any idea why PP is seeing two .hpd files that don't actually exist on the HP-1? Would those files possibly be referenced in some other folder?

Those extra files were somewhere in your HPDB directory. PP isn't able to dream up file names, if it found them they were there, and if it complained about them it was probably because there was something wrong with them. I think the next version will be modified to allow for looser file formats.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I searched file by file and found the two corrupted files and removed them from the HPDB database on the HP-1.
I hadn't remembered even creating these files, although I might have done it with one of your earlier beta versions of PP shortly after receiving the HP-1
.
I have attached one of the files for you to examine. I'd be interested to know why the file didn't load.

It looks like it has the problem with corrupt headers, as I said before some software programs will cause this.
