Hi all,
Just reporting a bug on the Australian UBCD396XT when using 2.10
It will load all systems in no problems, however up to 15 errors appear when loading custom settings. I believe it has to do with the custom bandplans and modulations, as when they are loaded any channel loaded with "AUTO" as the modulation they will act like a birdie frequency - a 468mhz frequency's modulation was FMB. Once loaded, if you go into the settings and edit the default band plans it acts correctly. I have used these custom settings, however I am not sure that the higher bands are correct:
25.0:AM / 25.0
28.0:FM / 12.5
70.0:FM / 5.0
88.0:WFM / 100.0
108.0:AM / 25.0
137.0:NFM / 20.0
148.0:NFM / 6.2 <-Confirmed Correct
174.0:NFM / 6.2 <-Confirmed Correct
225.0:FM / 12.5
400.0:NFM / 6.2 <-Confirmed Correct
758.0:FM / 5.0
788.0:FM / 12.5
806.0:FM / 5.0
1240.0:FM / 12.5
Is FreeScan able to be updated to allow for these band plans for the UBCD396XT?
Thanks
Tim

Uniden Australia does not make any programming information available for these scanners. So it's difficult to develop anything for them. If you click on the error count, you'll see a window that tells you what the errors were.

Appreciate your response, I am aware that Uniden Australia are not very helpful, it has taken over 2 years to get an XT scanner on the market! They have released the UBCD396XT claiming it will work with the UBC-RH96 and without a firmware update it won't and they still haven't released the update. Is there anything we, as a collective user group can provide to help develop the software to work 100% with our units? I am more than happy to beta test any updates you want to try. I also am a member of a very wide user base forum who could also be asked if they wish to help if needed.
