I just got a new computer lenovo B-320 with windows 7. I finnally gotten all my stuff switched over and the free scan I was using to run 3 BCD996xt scanners and 1 BCD396T. Right after down loading the newest version of free scan I keep getting an error window telling me that a "unhandled exception has  occurred in your application". It gives me the option of continue, quit, or details.

I can sometimes continue for just a short time before it tells me that free scan has stopped working....any help or thoughts?

Thanks. Cool

I have the same problem.

I have Windows 7 64bit version.  Perhaps yours is 64bit too.

I have not had any success attempting to "run as administrator"

Also no luck when running under any of the available compatibility modes.

The workaround is to use a 32bit OS.

best regards

I've been trying to reproduce this problem on my systems for a while, including on 64 bit win7 to no avail. But I will see if I can come up with a fix for the next version. Seems to be related to the sound card.

The error I'm getting is "FreeScan.exe has stopped working."  I get the same error with ProSCAN.  Running Windows 7 Home Premium with AMD II X2 proc and 3gigs of ram.  No other issues with any other program.  Computer is appx 1 year old.  I've tried running as admin, compatibility modifications, etc.  Suggestions?

I have windows xp on Lenovo T400 and 396xt. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks but now got that exception window error.
I have done anything to the computer, and also have tried reinstalling the older version (0.9) still getting the same thing.
Tried changing ports also--no results
Trying to upgrade newer version of .netframework. Lets see how it goes...

Thank you for your help
