I’m using Freescan 2.10 with a 396XT … on the group screen I click the GPS enable box, click the edit button which brings up the location settings window, cut and paste the coordinates from Mapsource, enter the range, click view in google and preview it,  and click OK.  Once back at the group screen the coordinates that are displayed in the GPS box at the upper right are different from what I entered in the location setting window by as much as a degree.  When I click edit to go back to the location setting window the coordinates are correct as I entered them and the view in google appears t be correct.  The coordinates upload to the scanner correct also …. There’s just the discrepancy between what I enter in the location setting box and what is displayed on the group screen … is this something I should be worried about?

No, it is just DMS vs DEG format. They are both displaying the same information.
