FreeSCAN 2.10 Available

What's New
================
-Upgraded the RadioReference Web Service interface used by FreeSCAN
-This newer version corrects some issues with inheriting location information
-It also adds "Nationwide" frequencies that can now be imported
-To import these, select File * Import From RadioReference Conventional, and select "Nationwide" under the Province/State dropdown
-The RR CD import support has been removed for this version. The CD is now rare, way out of date, and internet access is becoming more abundant these days.
-Other minor bug fixes and improvements

FreeSCAN for iOS (formely known as FreeSCAN Remote)
=====================================
As some of you know, I have been working on this project for some time now.
FreeSCAN for iOS will let you remote control and monitor a scanner that is connected
to a PC running the desktop version of FreeSCAN.
It's coming along, but won't be available at least until December or January of 2012 because
there is just a lot of work that needs to be done. I would say it's about 50% ready.
(The name was changed because "FreeSCAN Remote" doesn't fit on Springboard)

Visit the Downloads section to get this latest version.

It's in the Downloads section, you should see it on the navigation bar on the left once you are off the forum and on the main site.

I've been using it on Windows 7 both 32 and 64 bit for several years.

Well I would surely love to know the secret.... Every time you start it, it shuts right down.....

Prob best you start a new thread about your issue. Opposed to hijacking a thread intended to announce a new version.

It would be better if you stated what you were doing before the problem came up. I can't look at 4ea2ff49 and somehow derive something meaningful from that.

Will there also be an Android version or a web based version by any chance?

There are no definite plans at the moment, but I might open source the protocol so people can create their own clients and distribute them. That would open the door to any platform.

Just wanted to thank you for this software.
I just bought the Uniden UBCT396XT, and I could not imagine programming it by using the scanner alone.
Even a friend who has the 396T Model (Previous), has changed from the Uniden software to FreeScan.
