Hi there, firstly many thanks for FreeSCAN which is working well for me on Win 7 and XP with my USC230-E and a cheap USB-Serial lead which probably has a fake PL2303 in it, but the drivers from your site are working better than those from Prolific which gave me Error 10 Smiley

Can I ask why your forums have an annoying script running? I like to see what's new on a forum using a Recent link like
http://scannow.org/forum/index.php?action=recent
and then I make my way down the page loading interesting looking threads into new tabs, finally having a good read flicking along the browser tabs.
But with this forum each time I ctrl+click or shift+click to open a thread in a new window or tab, the main page goes to that thread too! I've had to disable the scripts for this scannow.org using NoScript just to make it behave normally.

Can this be changed please? Thanks

Which browser are you using??? I'm not aware of any java scripts being used for the forum, and I can open up multiple tabs fine in Firefox.

Firefox 3.6.17  - too scared to update to more recent version because they keep moving stuff around and I'm tired of reorganising to my prefered layout  Grin
Definitely behaves with this site NoScript-blocked, and misbehaves with it allowed.
Cheers

I used to use that version and had no problems at all. I also tried it in IE and Safari and everything seems to work. So maybe you have a plugin that is causing the issue? I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this occurring?

No idea, probably not worth pursuing by the sound of it! Smiley
I did have the same problem once before on a forum, can't remember how it ended up.

I'll just keep NoScript doing its thing until I need to post and use fancy features like smileys I don't know the codes for!
(oh, and there's no Edit option for when we want to correct a mistake?)

And it's doing the same thing on a Linux netbook running FF 3.0 too  Grin
