Has anyone tried this? Is it possible/doable?

Not allowed to use a netbook or other standalone computer at work, but can use my flash drive on my corporate PC. All I want to do is edit some saved data files/download systems from RR/etc. No actual programming or controlling of a scanner.

I suppose I could just give it a try... Smiley

Just wait a bit and they will block the "jump drives". I know where I used to work would not allow jump drives as they thought they were as virus laden as a floppy. <g>

Good question, will it run off of a flash drive. Or do I need to load it on my other computer also. I am on my lap top now, if I put it on my desk top, can I use my flash driver for the program if I don't want to load it on my desk top?

I have been able to load and edit files from a USB portable drive.
I originally installed the program to my computer and then copied the folder to my USB drive.

The program crashes if I try to upload/download from the scanner, or try to use the print function.  This is when I don't have admin privileges.  If I do have Admin, everything seems to work fine.
I wish that part could be fixed. It may be something as simple as a dll file that could be copied to the portable Freescan directory.  I don't know why it needs admin rights to fully work.
