Serial plug is in, I have a premium sub. to R.R etc. Now what? nothing happens when I plug it into scanner. What's next???   Thanks  Do I need a cd or something?? i have freescan and R.R.

I'm new to this    it's plugged in ...nothing happens serial cable is in but nothing comes on the screen....what am I doing wrong??   Thanks
