I noticed the newest version .9D won't save the Green colour on the radio even after
doing a SAVE then a LOAD back into the radio, it continually defaults to RED?

When you download, make sure you have "Get scanner settings" checked, and when you upload, check to make sure you have "Send custom settings" checked.

I figured that much- Shouldn't that happen automatically like all the other software
does?

You download the scanners settings and data- You should be able to
also restore and maintain it likewise.

ARC puts the scanner settings in an entirely different dialog, so you have to separately download/upload the settings distinctly from the actual "channel" programming. Freescan puts that into the one upload/download dialog, but requires you to check the appropriate checkboxes to choose to download/upload. That's because you may want to change some channel data, but may not want to re-upload the rest of the stuff every time. The design is appropriate as-is.

It's designed to give you a choice like bpsmicro said. Sometimes I am just duplicating a system across scanners by moving the cable over but I don't want to wipe out their individual settings, hence why it can be turned off. Plus, those settings are saved automatically, so once you turn something on (or off), it will be the default for next time.
