view|sort by quick key does not seem to sort correctly. Ahh, after looking at help, I see it only works for convetional systems. I guess, I'd like to add that it sort numerically instead of alphabetically on the first quick key in the system whether it's conventional or trunked.

I really enjoy the program, and look forward to using it with a 996XT soon!

Trunked systems can't be assigned QKs, so you can't sort them by QK. I get tons of people asking about it, but it can't be done since trunked systems can contain multiple QKs and then which one do you sort by?

How about adding a sort field for the system that I can set myself, knowing that it won't affect quick keys, but will help with sorting. I only have a couple of systems with multiple sites, and I assign the same quick key number to those sites. Sorting on the first site quick key would work for me.

Currently, I add "01", "03", "40", or whatever the quick key is etc. to the front of the name of my systems, so they'll appear sorted in the tree. If there was an option to concantenate the first (lowest number) site quick key to the front of the system name that would be helpful too. I hope that makes sense.

Also,  the last system in the tree does not get included in the name sort for some reason.

Thank you and keep up the great work,
Ben

Other packages take the following approach to solve this problem. If there are multiple sites in the system, they use the lowest QK for sorting purposes.

I found a nice trick for my own sorting...

First, I renamed all my systems (both trunk and conventional) by what is easy for me to identify (e.g.  "Denver, City of " instead of "City of Denver", "Socorro County" instead of "County of Socorro", etc)

Then, these are the options, I've chosen (my preference):
1)  View>Sort by: choose only the "Name" option.
2)  View>Highlight:  choose all options
3)  View>Auto Expand Systems>Off
4)  View>Show System Types: not selected (for easy viewing)
5)  View>Show Quick Keys:  selected

Of course, your preference may be vary from mine, but I find it easy to go to a particular system to modify if I want to.
