This question is specific to the GPS-enabled scanners (in my case, the 996T). On the scanner itself, for sites, channels, etc, you can Lock, Unlock or Temporary Lockout. The latter is cleared when the scanner is power-cycled, and is used when the GPS is connected/enabled to turn on/off those sites (etc).

But in ARC and FreeScan, the only options are Lock (or not Lock). Does the API provided by Uniden allow for us to set anything to "Temporary Lockout"?

No, Temp lock out can't be set via software. Sorry.

I assumed as much, since ARC doesn't do it anyway. Somewhat understandable, since I'd expect the average user to not need that. It's just something that would solve a minor irritant of mine.
