Whats up for the Next Version

I always like to post these status updates so people know what's coming up.
The next version, depending on how things go, could be 0.9. Major things are going to be the return of printing, logging, and the addition of being able to import from the RR CD.
For printing, in 0.7 it was rendered pixel-by-pixel and then sent to the printer. However, this method introduced a number of problems and issues thus it was removed from 0.8 when I switched to .net. In the next version though, printing will be changed from a pixel rendering to a HTML rendering. That means printouts will come out with smoother text and nicer looking tables then ever before. There will also be an option to export your systems to HTML. This is handy if you have your own website and would like to include systems from your scanner, simply "print" the system you want to HTML and then paste the code to your page. It will be formatted just like the print out and ready to go.
Logging - Logging has been troubled in recent times. I hope to get all the problems fixed with it (including NAC logging) by 0.9.
RadioReference CD ROM - For those of you have this CD I'm going to add import support.
Of course, there will be a couple of surprises as well.
Next version should be ready to go in a few weeks.

Well contrary to certain rumors I do actually have a life and a day job. If I didn't we'd probably be up to version 5.0 by now

Just a quick update. 0.9 is almost ready to go. I might push the RadioReference CD ROM support out to the post-0.9 version in order to get this one out a bit faster. There are some glitches that have been discovered with 0.8E, this version is meant to fix them hence why I want to release it sooner then later.
Hopefully in 2-3 days from now it will be ready so stay tuned.

Thanks, Assaf, for your hard work. This is great software, and we all appreciate the time you spend - your free time, that is.
Thanks!

If anyone is interested, here is a preview version of 0.9. I don't have the list of fixes and updates ready yet but it is a long one. I'm releasing it here first so if there are any last minute bugs that seem to pop up on every release they can be fixed before the "official" release.
You need to uninstall any previous 0.8+ version prior to installing this one, however, I've got that problem pretty much worked out now so that will be the last time it will be necessary to do so. Let me know!

Assaf,
I have downloaded the preview version, and some of the new functions look amazing.
- memory statistics work!
- printing works!
Here are some finds:
- when I opened the file created with 0.8, I get a message "serious error occured while trying to load - error 62" but then the file loads and all looks ok
- I have tried to find how to print a summary of the the quick keys only - but did not find it. Is it in this version? All I was able to print a 40 page document of all the data (when selecting summary view) - I was hoping to print a one page summary - summarizing quick keys only
- third time I tried the program it locked up ( Windows Vista PC) - I had to use task manager to shut it down.
Overall: it looks amazing: thank you, and I need to spend more than just a few minutes to explore it fully.

I know about that error message, it will be fixed in the release version. Thanks for catching that print bug though!

Logging seems to be working perfectly.
I received no error message when opening previous files...
Great work

Thanks, Assaf.
Vista 32-bit Ultimate
When I select the Fire Tone Out tab I get the error shown on the attached screen capture. If there is no data loaded into the program, it doesn't happen. If there's data loaded (even though that data doesn't include any Fire Tone data) it happens every time. I have to go to the Task Manager to close the program.
Also noted the following minor issues:
-The html printout shows the step size, but it would seem more useful to have it show audio type or CTCSS/DCS/NAC or both
-Rollover for Maximum Priority Channels appears when you rollover Priority Interval Time
-Battery Save rollover says "This feature turns off RF power for 1 second and turns on it 300 ms ..." rather than "This feature turns off RF power for 1 second and turns it on 300 ms ..."
-C-Ch Logging rollover says "When data stream output function is set to extend..." rather than "When data stream output function is set to extended...". Also there is an extra "." after <CC data> in that rollover message
-Close Call Override Mode rollover message says "Enable to this to allow you..." rather than "Enable this to allow you..."
-Disable CC Hits with Scan rollover says "recentley" rather than "recently"

Sorry to say that I've got another problem. The logging isn't working properly for me. It logs trunking system hits, but not conventional channel hits.

So do conventional channels not appear at all?
