Hello All,

I have had my BCD396T for a little over 6 months now and tried several times to update firmware and program scanner. Each time I get just far enough to get furstraited and put it down. I would like to give it another shot, however I would like to have someone help me program it. I would even be willing to pay someone for their time to help me. I think I know what I want to monitor, I just need some guidence and someone willing to spend a little time teaching me.

Thanks,

Todd

Todd, many folks find upgrading the firmware to be more complicated than it really is. It's a matter of following all the instructions to the letter - no deviation, no shortcuts. Really!

Anyway, you have LOTS of resources for programming help (and perhaps someone to walk you through the the firmware updates). Quite apart from the California forum on RadioReference (it's highly advised you go over there and register - free), there are at least a few Yahoo groups where you might be able to pick up files you can import - namely UASD (or Uniden Advanced System Director) or, with the new version, BuTel files.

Mike,

thanks for the info, I will check into the fourms. I ahve also joined the "radio reference" group as well and posted a similar request for help.

Thanks,
