I've seen a couple of links to the same incident I'm sure...

Basically the officer stopped the person for whatever reason, while in conversation, the detainee passed gas and fanned it in the officer's direction. He was then arrested for ASSAULT!

Seems like there are MORE important offenses to be pursued....but then, that's just me. <g>

Being ex-law enforcement....Sounds like assault to me...Assault with a (silent BUT) deadly weapon. LOL Maybe even procession of an instrument of crime (his ass).

I suppose "Frame of reference" is important, especially in this case - IF you were on the receiving end (no pun intended) it would change your perception, certainly. <wide grin>
