Great news, eh?

Next thought is "so what's new with that"?

Well, apparently the spammers have decided to go back in time to the mainfame days....

Anybody remember ASCII Art?

Sure you do....you've seen it....the pictures made from characters of the alphabet that look like a movie star or something. And the 1/4 page high letters made from the letters themselves.

Apparently, the spammers have decided this would be a good way around most spam filters, so they're going to give it a try. Watch your mail boxes....it's coming. <g>

Oh, THAT kind of spam.  You had me excited for a second...I thought they were finally going to grant my wish and come out with a Garlic and Basil quasi-meat product! Nom nom nom!  Grin

I'm resisting a quick rendition of Monty Python's Spam Spam Spam Spam song....

And please DON'T let me know if you ever get your wish for that flavor!

Usually, I'll fry it up with some garlic and onions, delicately sauteing the SPAM and veggies to a light, golden brown.  I then throw away the SPAM and eat the frying pan.  Grin

(Actually, I don't mind pan-fried spam every once in a while...reminds me of my starving college days, along with baloney sammiches and Ramon noodles! Heh!)

I'm thinking you're on the right track there (eating the pan).

I'm somewhat disappointed, not a trace of spam (that I can find) in your picture. Thought maybe it would be on the table, ready for consumption!

And while we're talking edible delights, are you familiar with the White Castle chain of <ahem> restaurants? (fast food fare) From what I've seen, there are folks that think as much of their offerings (hamburgers with or without cheese) as they do spam.

re:college days...ran into another chain in the Atlanta area that was Crystal Palace (I always figured there was some rivalry there) that was about the same way. Their burgers left me with the idea that had I eaten the money, it would have been as tasty. <g>

I've heard of White Castle, but at least to my knowledge they have yet to be an influence in my little corner of the world.  Thank Heaven for small favors! Grin

I'm not much of a fast-food person...it's been years since I've been to a Mickey-D's, BK or Wendy's.  I did have some KFC a few months ago, but that was the first I had eaten any of their food in 3-4 years as well.

There were two pizza shops near campus, however...Varsity and Cosmo's!  Cosmo's had the best garlic pizza on the planet, bar none!  And Varsity was just good and cheap, in that order!  Back in the day, you could get a slice and a Coke for about a buck.

Mmmm...great...now I'm craving pizza!  Dang it!  Tongue

Quite the post - went from White Castle to GOOD CHEAP garlic pizza in roughly 3 paragraphs!

You the man!

There's still SOME hope for you having White Castle (as if you NEED it)...they do have them in the frozen food section now in some stores. I think that thawing may be optional. <chuckle>

Yeah, probably be another one of those cases where you're better off throwing the burgers in the trash and eating the carton they came in! Grin

Mmmm...fiber! Smiley
