Hello all (anyone).

I'm a new member and a new user of a Uniden BCD396t. I just uploaded the scannow.org software and was following the "Installing & Using FreeSCAN instructions. However, I never got the option to choose the scanner model, did I miss something? So once the software was loaded on my computer and I opened it, I didn't have a tab called "Programing" or a tab with my scanner model on it? Can anyone tell me where to go from here?

HELP!

Thanks,

Todd Huh?

I think you would be best to check the Documentation tab.  It is probably located at the top of the screen that you are reading this from.

If you require it, the direct link is http://scannow.org/docu.htm

There are links within that page that lead to more details.

I have the .06c version.  I found that the first two links (Installing.... and Guide #2....) referred to older versions.  But they may provide some extra information about some features that may not have been covered, and did not change, in later versions.

Having said that, if you have a .06 version, start with the Main Program Documentation link.

Your question is too open to give you a simple answer.  As far as asking which scanner you have, I found that it asked me when I was doing some of the uploading and downloading.

Anyhow, hope this helps.
